Thanks for visiting!
"Flower Topography" - ceramic, hand poured resin. 2023 This vase is one of a commissioned series of vases I created for an event.
"Flora" - She stands 7 feet tall in my sculpture park at home greeting everyone who enters! I made this mostly out of recycled materials...strips of spraypainted tyvek, fencing wire, old xmas ornaments, a squished laundry basket. I purchased a small motor and wired it so that the butterfly on top of her hat spins around. (nfs)
"Three Chesters" - made of clay and special embroidery thread. These were inspired by the outside pod of chestnuts. I thought they looked like little monsters. I didn't necessarily want to tie their mouths shut, I simply thought it offered an opportunity to weave and combine two materials. The weave was very challenging! (nfs)
"A poppy pod for my mom" - ceramic, yarns, and beads. My mom loved poppies! She used to sing a song called 'poppies golden poppies' everytime we were on a trip and saw them growing along the side of the road. From her. I developed a love for organic shapes and to see the beauty and treasures in nature. (nfs)
"Chicken Gentleman" - ceramic, plastic egg. This is from my Ladies and Gentlemen work. He loves his friend the chicken and often takes her for a drive. (nfs)
"Ring pop" - cardboard, papermache, tissue paper - this is from a personal commission for a bat mitzvah. (nfs)
